online. Enrollment for new students in Kindergarten - 12th grades can be completed using the links below under the Online Enrollment section. Pre-K enrollment information can be found by visiting the

If parents do not have a device or reliable internet service, they should go to the child's zoned school to register online using a school laptop. More information will be posted here, as well as other places on the Dickson County School's website, social media and various community locations.
**NOTE: You cannot enroll a student until the enrollment window opens. The school year will not be correct and you may inadvertently enroll your student into the wrong school year. Please make sure the school year is correct when you begin the online enrollment process. Please contact your child's
school with any questions.
Parents must provide the following to enroll in school.
- Proof of Child's Age, Such as a Birth Certificate
- Tennessee Department of Health Certificate of Immunization/Physical Exam Form Checked K-6TH
- Complete Physical Examination by School Entrance Date
- Three Proofs of Residence (proof of home ownership, rental agreement, driver's license, voter registration card, current utility bill, telephone bill, cable bill, etc)

Follow the process detailed in the flow chart above and click the available links. The ability to complete an application is turned on for all guardians in Family Access so please submit only one application per child.
Kindergarten Readiness
Kindergarten can be very exciting for young students but it can also be a time of nervousness, anxiety and struggles. As a child begins their new journey in the education system, Dickson County Schools desires that all children have the best possible to start to their education. Kindergarten readiness is a great beginning to academic success.
The Kindergarten teachers of Dickson County are sensitive to the adjustments children will go through to adapt to the school environment. They take extra care to make their experience enjoyable and full of learning. In cooperation with strong parental support, kindergarten students can enjoy a smoother, less stressful transition into the school system.
Enrollment for kindergarten in Dickson County is usually held each April at the zoned school. Parents need to call their zoned school for specific dates. If you are unsure of which school your child will be attending, you may call the Transportation Department at (615) 740-5970 for accurate zoning information. Kindergarten out-of-zone requests will be accepted beginning the second Monday in May. Requests should be made to the principal’s office of the requested out of zone school.
