Sometimes its necessary for parents to need childcare for young students before or after school hours. All elementary schools in Dickson County offer extended childcare services.

The hours of operation during the school year are 6:00 am to 7:30 am for morning care and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for after care. If you would like more information, please contact the school and ask for the childcare site director.

The Extended Child Care Program provides safe, enriching, quality care for young learners during the hours when there may be no adult supervision in the home. Children will have the opportunity to engage in activities which will benefit them emotionally, physically, and educationally. The program includes crafts, sports, games, snacks and many other creative activities. A special time each day will be allotted for homework and tutorial assistance if it is needed.
