DCDLA students can play sports at their zoned school after they undergo a transfer rule time period.
The TSSAA looks at this as an athletic transfer to a new school.
If the student has no athletic record at their zoned school in the previous twelve months and transfers to the virtual school, they would be eligible.
If a student with an athletic record at their zoned school transfers to the virtual school, they would be ineligible to play on the varsity level in that sport for twelve months.
The student could practice and participate on the junior varsity level until that time, provided they meet the JV guidelines per TSSAA. (12 months)
