DCDLA students can play sports at their zoned school after they undergo a transfer rule time period. 

The TSSAA looks at this as an athletic transfer to a new school.

• If the student has no athletic record at their zoned school in the previous twelve months and transfers to the virtual school, they would be eligible.

• If a student with an athletic record at their zoned school transfers to the virtual school, they would be ineligible to play on the varsity level in that sport for twelve months.

• The student could practice and participate on the junior varsity level until that time, provided they meet the JV guidelines per TSSAA. (12 months)
